Who we are
The mission of the TACPAAA is to provide the citizens of Texarkana a better understanding of the dedication and integrity of the police department. Our goal is to act as support, community assistance, and relief for the officer's, civilian staff, and emergency operators of TAPD, with an overall goal of fulfilling the needs of the department at various events, assisting with community outreach, and pulling the community in to embrace our officers and the police department as a whole.
Current Executive Board
President - Currently Open - Handles organizing meetings, acts as an ex-offico member on all committees and Co-Chairs the Officer Recognition Committee
Vice President 1 - Currently Open - Handles community events and notifying the TACPAAA Members about upcoming events, acts as the media liaison. Chairs the Community Support Committee.
Vice President 2 - Currently Open - Handles Officer Support events, works with local officers to assist with community needs and work with officers to coordinate "Safe Haven" areas for officers to be able to visit for coffee, water or a break. Chairs the Officer Support Committee.
Secretary - Currently Open - Handles compiling notes for each meeting, ensuring all paperwork is complete for new members and works as a co-chair on Officer Recognition Committee.
Marie McMillan currently serves as our Treasurer. Marie has a son that currently serves as a LEO. Marie is also our Finance Committee Chairperson.
Jeff S. Clapp is currently the Parliamentarian for TACPAAA. Jeff was the former President from 2016 (Inaugural Class A) until December 2019. Jeff also acts as the current interim President while it is empty. Jeff's term ends December 2022
